The Bible tells us in Colossians 1:13 that God “rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of His beloved Son.” That’s not just poetic language. It’s a rescue story. Through Jesus Christ, we are delivered from darkness and brought into the light of God’s kingdom.
Jesus paid the penalty for our sins and secured our freedom. Darkness no longer has hold over us who have placed our trust in Jesus and Him alone. But there are many who don’t yet know the hope and forgiveness that Jesus offers. God calls us, as His ambassadors, to share this Good News with those who need the very Light of life that we have received.
Today, thank God for who He is and what He has done. Pray for opportunities to tell others about the salvation Jesus Christ offers. When God gives you those divine appointments, be prepared to share the Gospel!
