The Bible ends with a powerful picture of hope. In Revelation 21:23, we’re told that in the new heaven and new earth, there will be no need for the sun or the moon, because the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.
For those who trust in Jesus Christ, this is our future. A perfect place where sin, suffering, and death no longer exist, and where we will live in the presence of God forever. This hope is possible because Jesus stepped into the darkness of our world, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again in victory. Darkness did not win. Jesus did.
But until that day, God calls us to live as people of the light who share the hope of the Gospel with others. Let’s tell those around us about Who Jesus is and what He has done for them!
